Festival de Cannes 2015

Founded in 1946, by the Minister of Education, the festival has become over time a real institution. For twelve days the world has only eyes for the Croisette. Hollywood Stars, directors and rising stars will climb the steps of the famous Palais des Festivals.

For its 68th edition, the festival decided to honor Ingrid Bergman. This free and passionate female figure in the Pantheon cinema. Her beauty and talent have earned her many roles in major movies such as Casablanca or Stromboli. The Swedish actress will be the emblem of the 2015 festival.


The jury, an ambitious cast

Nine personalities form the cast of the jury composed by actors, directors, writers and composers. On top of the pyramid, we find, the Coen brothers, who will co-preside this year jury. Joel and Ethan Coen have shown their talents with films such as "The Big Lebowski" and "No Country for Old Man." The Coen brothers will be in good company as directors Xavier Dolan (Mommy) and Guillermo Del Toro (Hell Boy, Pan's Labyrinth) will also be part of the jury.

The actors and actresses will have a place of choice in this year jury, since the American Jake Gyllenhall, Sienna Miller English, the Spanish Rossy de Palma, and Sophie Marceau, French single panelist, will also participate in the selection of the competing films.

Surprising choice, Rokia Traore, singer and composer, will complete the cast of this 2015 jury. 2015 promises to be an excellent year for the Cannes festival. Moviegoers will have the pleasure of discovering during the opening of the festival, the latest film by Emmanuelle Bercot, starring Catherine Deneuve.

The lucky ones will even have the opportunity to meet on the Croisette, Woody Allen, Gus Van Sant and George Miller.
