As part of the field trips, students taking the photography courses, visited the exhibition "Aaron Siskind - Another photographic reality " presented at the Pavillon Populaire .
They found a selection of more than 250 original monographic prints, from his documentary period to his expressionist phase.
The exhibit aims to show and understand the artistic evolution of Siskind (1903-1991) from his social photography in the 30’s (Harlem, the Great Depression) to the architectural photography of the 40’s and the abstract Expressionism from the 50’s.
This exhibition reconstructs, for the first time, the artistic evolution of the photographer.
