Each year Studio M School offers to its prospective students an introductory course in applied arts. Three days during the school holidays, to discover, create and learn. This assignment 2015 was placed under the sign of creativity.
On the program: "A great brand of perfume asks you to create a perfume bottle collector, its packaging and the advertisement that come with it. »
Helped by Stephanie Legrou and two students from the Montpellier art school, young artists began by choosing the bottle on which they wanted to work, drew it, designed it and colored it.
This exercice was a great opportunity to take a look at the basics of drawing such as perspective, volumes, shadows and lights. Once they finished drawings, the young designers gave life to their projects with poska pen and Promarker. Then they assembled the packaging and used Photoshop to create a poster for the perfume.
This exercise addresses in an educational manner the different facets of the artistic process. Young creatives were able to apprehend applied art, product design and visual communication. Beyond the educational aspect, the students have found a way to express themselves, to create within the limits imposed by the subject: "At first we had differents concepts and made them evolve according to the idea that came to us to get the final result. It's also nice to see everyone's personality through the work done. "
